Ulster Champions x 2 after two 'nail biters'!

Cross and Passion supporters were treated to two stonking, if a little nippy, finals on Sunday and Monday as the Senior Girls lifted the Ulster 'A' title and our Under 15 1/2 boys secured the Leonard Cup.

The Camogs took on St. Louis, Ballymena in a closely fought contest, with a massive crowd turning out despite the inclement weather.  Scores swung back and forth and there was very little between the two teams overall.  Some experienced defending won out in the end and you can read the full match report on the excellent Saffron Gael website by following this link:

Our Under 15 1/2 hurlers were equally determined, facing a very talented St. Killian's team in the final of the Leonard Cup in Allen Park, Antrim.  The pitch allowed the boys to demonstrate their full abilities with many scores both from open play and set pieces scored by both teams.  The match was turned on its head late on, after the awarding of a controversial goal, however the CPC boys won out in the end, with an excellent team performance and some standout individual efforts.  Michael O'Boyle's winning score was worth the admission on its own!
