The Derrytrasna Pastoral Care Awards 2023
The Department of Education, in partnership with the Public Health Agency, is seeking examples of outstanding pastoral care in schools.
The Awards, which were suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic, recognise school communities that have demonstrated exceptional co-operative effort in supporting the pastoral care of pupils. Due to the suspension we are seeking nominations for the period September 2019 to June 2022.
The closing date is Friday 16 December 2022 and communities are being urged to nominate now.
Schools cannot self-nominate but parents or others in the wider school community can nominate a school that has provided exceptional pastoral care.
A press release and DE weblink promoting the award and requesting nominations have been issued as per the links below. We would encourage further promotion of this by your school to your parents and wider community.
