SSAT

We are members of SSAT (formally the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust). 

The SSAT joins up special schools and specialist providers to enhance the understanding and skills of specialist teachers, specialist support staff and specialist leaders.

Rights respecting Schools

We've embarked upon our Rights Respecting Schools Award journey. The decision to work towards this award means we actively support the values of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and have vowed to put it at the centre of our school’s policies and ethos. 

Sports Specialist College

We were designated as a Specialist College for Sport in September 2007, recognising us as a Centre of Excellence for Sport and PE. Being a specialist school enables us to form partnerships in the community with local schools, community groups and businesses.
